My Core Values
Your core values are the values and beliefs that define you and your life. Deciding to endorse your highest personal core values is likely the most important step in personal development. When you act with integrity, and your priorities are inline with your highest values and positive beliefs, you will build self-esteem and ultimately, happiness.

The coaches at Relentless Boot Camp and CrossFit Central were asked to define their Core Values this week, in doing so, helping us to create a road map for our personal success. Here’s a look at mine:
Balance – This is my top core value because I remind myself of it everyday. It’s not just about balancing work and play, but also introspective time spent alone, and time socializing and networking. It’s taking the time to appreciate work and challenging mental and physical activities as well as enjoying doing nothing at all. It’s knowing when to “do work” and knowing when to let down my hair. Mostly, it’s about being fully present in this moment and appreciating all aspects of life.
Humor – Most people wouldn’t think of “humor” as a core value, but it is for me. There is nothing better than a smile, a laugh and feeling happy. Committing myself to finding humor in the mundane and infusing humor into my work and life is a priority.
Passion – Finding love and purpose in what you do, who you are, and who you surround yourself with – I also see this as a lust for life. Passion and courage are needed when shooting for excellence. Passion is also the ability to arouse the same feelings in others and rally the team during difficult times. Because, make no mistake about it, there will always be challenges.
Leadership – This is a catch-all because I feel it encompasses other core values like integrity, trust, respect, experience, wisdom, etc. because you have to have all of those to be a great leader. Leaders naturally emerge when they possess those core values. This pushes me to give my best effort, day in and day out. I hope to be significant in the eyes of others and make a real impact.
